This is a simplified breakdown of the most efficient process to ensure proper cleaning of your equipment at the end of your class or sport access session.

Please note: based on the workout of the day your coach might instruct a slightly different process - always follow your coaches instructions.

After Class Cleaning

Step 1: LAY ouT all equipment utilized in your square

  • Spread out all equipment that you utilized in your session

  • Plates, dumbbells, barbells, kettle bells, abmats, etc.

STEP 2: Spray the entire area (and equipment) with a light mist

  • Make sure everything gets a light misting from your Sanitol spray bottle

  • You do NOT need to soak things - just make sure everything facing up gets lightly misted

  • Let it sit for minimum 2 minutes

Lay it out

STEP 3: WHILE IT SOAKS - WIPE DOWN ‘HANDLES’

  • Sanitol takes 5+ minutes to fully kill all the COVID - so while side 1 of your equipment ‘soaks’ wipe down your handled pieces

  • This includes pull-up bars, rings, handles of kettle bells & dumbbells, barbell center

  • Also take this time to wipe down things that can’t be sprayed - like your rower screen

STEP 4: FLIP IT & SPRAY IT AGAIN

  • After wiping down all the ‘handled’ things it’s time to spray the other side of your equipment

  • Flip over your plates, roll your barbell, spin your dumbbell & lightly mist it all again

Spray it

STEP 5: ENTER YOUR SCORES IN SUGARWOD

  • Give the Sanitol a few minutes to ‘settle in’ on the 2nd side of your equipment

  • Utilize this time to enter your scores into SugarWOD! (How do I do that?)

  • Remember - coach will NOT be entering any scores for you anymore!

STEP 6: PUT IT BACK

  • Now that the 2nd side of everything has had a few minutes to soak you can put it back how you found it

  • If your equipment is still ‘damp’ that’s ok!

  • If there’s any excess liquid pooling - please wipe it up with the provided cloth

  • Coach will instruct you whether to leave your equipment in your square or where to return it to

  • Give air high 5s to your coach & fellow RAthletes & once coach gives you the thumbs up you’re good to go!
